Illinois Bundleflower Seed

$7.00

(Desmanthus illinoensis)

Illinois bundle flower is a nitrogen fixing herbaceous perennial with beautiful fern like foliage. Blooms June through August with their small white and yellow fuzzy flowers. Flowers eventually turn to pods filled with small seeds which are edible when cooked, but very small making it an inefficient food source for humans, but birds enjoy them. Grows to around 4 feet. Hardy to zone 4. Hot water seed treatment has worked well for me with this species.

100 seeds per pack.
