Tall Bellflower seed

$10.00

Campanula americana

Tall bellflower, also called American bellflower, is a self seeding winter annual that reaches three to seven feet tall, creating a basal rosette that over winters, then shoots a tall stem the following year. Flowers are a bluish to violet purple, beginning in July and continuing all the way into September. Seems to prefer well drained, rich soil in hardwood forests but can also do well as a native landscaping plant with around half day sun. Young tender shoots and leaves are edible raw or cooked. Hardy to zone 3.

100 seeds per pack.
