Hand Harvested Wild Rice (Manoomin) 1 pound

from $20.00
Sold Out

Gathered by us in a canoe with homemade equipment made from white cedar. We gather wild rice on lakes and rivers in Northern MN to provide food for ourselves as well as make some available to folks interested. This is real wild rice that cooks up soft, unlike common store bought wild rice that never cooks to a soft and easy to chew texture. This is due to how commercial paddy grown rice is handled after harvest. Real wild rice and store bought wild rice doesn’t compare in flavor or texture. They are like two different foods in our minds.
